Dr. Presha Neidermeyer Elected To First Exchange Bank’s Board of Directors

MANNINGTON – First Exchange Bank is pleased to announce the election of Dr. Presha Neidermeyer to their Board of Directors.

Presha received her Ph.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University and is currently a Professor of Accounting at West Virginia University, where she has served for eleven years.  At WVU she teaches accounting for both the College of B&E and the WVU Honors Program.  She also serves as the first ADVANCE Fellow and coordinates the Women's Leadership Initiative on campus.

“First Exchange Bank has a rich history of serving the banking needs of our community,” said Neidermeyer. “I look forward to serving on the board and being part of the growth of this financial institution.” 

Her research includes studies within the banking area on the Basel Accords and personal financial planning including the historical perspective of Primary Mortgage Insurance.  Her philanthropic work includes collaborating both domestically and internationally in entrepreneurship primarily for women in micro-business.  

First Exchange Bank’s Chairman of the Board of Directors Jim Boyers stated: “We are delighted that Presha has joined our Board of Directors. With her background, knowledge and networking skills she will be instrumental in developing business in our Morgantown market and the surrounding areas.”

Dr. Neidermeyer resides in Morgantown with her husband Dr. Davide Cervone.
