Online Banking Security Upgraded Submitted by Luke Medders | 2 / May / 2014
JUNE 2012: Recently we brought even stronger safeguards to your Online Banking account. Now that this upgrade is complete, you’ll be guided through two quick steps when you log in:
- Ensure your login is strong - After you log in as you normally do, the system will review the strength of your username and password. If your current login does not meet the upgraded security requirements, you will be asked to create a new username and/or password.
- Obtain an access code - You will be asked to provide a phone number where you can immediately receive an access code via text and/or automated voice message. A new access code will be required each time you log in on a computer or mobile device not recognized by our system. Summarizing: once an access code has been input into your computer or mobile device subsequent logins will not require an access code. Any login attempts from a new computer or mobile device will require an access code.
This system improves security, while eliminating the requirement to answer security questions each time you log in, allowing faster access to your account information.
If you have any questions, please call our Information Technology Department at 304-986-1700.
We are pleased to deliver this security upgrade to make it even safer for you to manage your money online.
